Students Tab Overview

The Students tab lets you view and manage student information by school, district, or location. What you see depends on your role and permissions.

You can:

  • View details for each student.

  • Search, filter, and sort the student list.

  • Click a student to see detailed information in the right-hand pane.


Note: Students with 0 trips and 0 stops are inactive. Inactive student data records are regularly removed from First View.

Student Information

Each student record includes:

  • Name & ID (ID shows “-” if added manually via the Parent App).

  • Date of Birth (First Alt only).

  • Phone number(s) of caregiver(s).

  • District(s) and School(s) of attendance.

  • Trips & Stops (click or hover for details).

  • Parent App Users following the student (click to view user info).


Trip & Parent App Details

Depending on the service (First Student or FirstAlt), trip information may include:

  • Trip/run numbers, schedules, and stop times.

  • Driver, vehicle, and equipment details (FirstAlt).

  • Parent App users linked to the student, with contact info and up to 3 distance notifications per trip.

You can also access student details from Users > Parent App Users > Students Followed.


Search Options

You can search/sort by:

  • Name or Student ID (select up to 10).

  • Trip or Run name/code.

  • Other fields: date of birth, phone number, district, school, or Parent App user.


Click a column header arrow to sort alphabetically or numerically.

Use Clear All to reset filters.
