We've added a Live/Replay toggle in Trip details that shows real-time data and corrections when adjustments are made due to processing delays or changes made after the scheduled timestamps. This applies to the arrivals and GPS data that can be found under View Trip Details drop-down.

The GPS data in First View is coming from a GPS unit installed on the vehicle assigned to the route, and this information is sent from the unit via a cellular signal. GPS data may sometimes be delayed coming into First View, and this can be due to a number of things including the bus driving into a cellular dead zone, or an issue with the GPS unit itself. When the GPS unit on the bus records GPS data, but does not send this data in live time, First View will backfill that data into the Dashboard once the route has been completed. Below is an example of how backfilled information looks in the Dashboard.

Example: Viewing a Trip missing some live GPS Data. We're missing the GPS pings in the Trip replay and a stop arrival time in the GPS data recorded in live time in First View.

Example: Trip Replay with backfilled GPS Data. We can see the GPS data that was not received by First View in live time, but was backfilled into the Dashboard after the route had been completed. Backfilled GPS data is displayed on the map as greyed out GPS pings and in the Timestamps Column as greyed out timestamps. If First View misses capturing a stop arrival in live time, this arrival time will also be backfilled into the Dashboard. The actual arrival time for the stop will appear in the Actual column and will also be greyed out.
