Once you have added your students
and trips, you have to set distance
notifications to receive alerts when a bus
or vehicle enters a specified area within the
designated time range.
To set distance notifications
- Go to the default map view in the app, tap (
)
and select 'Notification
Settings' - Tap on Set Notification
- Tap on Select address, and enter in the address where you would like the distance-based ETA notification
- You can enable location based services to assist in customizing your pinpoint.
- You can also long press on the pinpoint and drag it to your preferred location.
- In the Notification Name field, set notification name and then click Next.
- In the Set Distance Notification Area, set the desired distance from the stop at which you want to be notified. The app will automatically default to feet/miles or meters/kilometers based on your phone's region settings.
- Then checkmark which trip(s) you would like to apply this notification to.
- Now set the notification time range for the selected trip, so you get notified when a bus/vehicle drives into the designated area within the specified time range.
- Select the time in the From and To fields, and tap Next.
- On
the Review
Notification
Settings screen,
review the distance notification settings
or continue adding up to 3 distance
notifications per trip. When finished, tap Save.
Note: You will only be
notified when the trip is live.
To hide/show distance notification on the map:
On the trip card for which you want to hide or show the distance notifications on the map, tap the … menu, and then tap Hide Notification Area or Show Notification Area.
