First View makes it easy to see your student’s pick-up and drop-off locations and follow active bus trips in real time.

View Pick-Up and Drop-Off Locations

Each student you add to First View is assigned a unique color. Their pick-up and drop-off locations appear on the map using that same color.

Note: If multiple students share the same pick-up or drop-off location, the colored markers will overlap and display the total number of students at that location.

To view a student's pick-up and drop-off locations:

  1. Open the map in First View.
  2. Tap the colored circle with the student's name.
  3. The student's pick-up and drop-off locations will be highlighted on the map.
  4. View Live Student Trips

When a bus is tracking, the icon will appear in green on the map to indicate that the trip is currently in progress.

To view trip details:

  1. Tap the vehicle icon on the map.
  2. A trip information panel will open and display:
  • Student name
  • Student color marker
  • Vehicle number
  • Trip number
  • Vehicle direction
  • Time of the last GPS update

Tip: If more than three students are assigned to the vehicle, tap See More to view the complete list of students on board.

View Stop and Trip Information

You can also tap a pick-up or drop-off stop on the map to view additional trip details.

The information may include:

  1. The stop's position number within the student's whole trip, not just the run for your student's school.
  2. The actual trip start time (when the driver departed the school or depot, not when the bus serviced the stop).
  3. The last stop serviced and the number of stops completed and the number of stops remaining for the entire trip.
  4. Pick-up and drop-off stop numbers for students who ride with First Student and have a valid student ID.
